I'm a PM and design generalist who has spent most of his career as a founder (exited company) and on early founding teams. My skillset centers mainly around qualitatively identifying user needs and validating them through designing proof-of-concept products.
I'm looking to transition to a company with more stability, Series A or later, but am having difficulty finding a role that I'd be a good fit for. Understandably, companies at that stage have already found product-market-fit and are in the growth stage of their trajectory.
However, even given that, is there any room for a guy like me? Should I focus more on FAANG-like companies that have experimental teams focused on 0-to-1 / new product discovery ? Am I looking for a unicorn role?
